Pretty good day.

Reading Cleopatra by Stacy Schiff (first off, she’s an amazing author). Also, reading A Great Improvisation by Schiff (about Ben Franklin in France, a good fit for me hehe). Reading both on google books lol im gonna be so sad when it hits (pages z-y are not in this preview).
Had a yogurt parfait this morning at Panera (where else) and a half Classic salad. Had some mini cookies and a milk chocolate nugget (I SUCK)—clearly I eat crap when I’m bored. and then went to bertucci’s with my friend who was visiting and had an individual pizza with spinach and roasted peppers. I just can’t believe I ate the whole thing.
It wasn’t THAT bad of a food day but I want to do better. Will work on my split later tonight.
Had Mike Pastry’s. I don’t regret trying it—it’s something I’ve been wanting to do all year, but man, my tummy hurts, I feel lethargic, and I need some water. I really want to get away from sweets. Maybe I can fulfill that using fruits/almonds. And just by drinking so much water that I won’t want to eat.
It’s a challenge, but I’m ready. Also: my goal before I leave for Paris is to be more flexible. So I want to be able to do a split! Here’s to a challenge…and to sticking to it.
She’s my inspiration:

Also, I saw Friends with Benefits today and saw how teeny Mila Kunis was. I wanna wear shorts like her and look that good/healthy/energized. I know movies are not realistic and hollywood actresses lives are devoted to looking good like that—a part of me worries about my outlook now, but I USED TO LOOK LIKE THAT. seriously before college happened. so I’m gonna get back to it and also FINALLY be a fit/active person who DOES things and doesn’t just sit and think about them. I’m finally ready to take it into my hands.
Ok so this weekend was seriously amazing. Saturday: hung out with Chrissy on Newbury Street, Cheesecake Factory (clearly a win in any city), the Aquarium, and Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market. Sunday: with Hannah, MFA and Braintree to see our friend Michelle—we went shopping and hung out on the beach. SUMMERTIME is here, y’all. Today: slept in, chilled in the ‘bridge, and then went to Boston with Hannah for a seriously epic adventure. We ate at Gourmet Dumpling in Chinatown (BEST CHINESE FOOD IVE EVER HAD handsdown—we had General Gau’s chicken, really really really good green tea, veggie buns—amazing, never had them before—, and veggie dumplings. UGH So good). Then, we walked to the North End (swiftly walking off the Chinese food might I add) and went to Mike’s Pastry. Beautiful walk. My favorite part of history is 1700’ American Colonial/Revolutionary history and seeing the cobblestone pathways and one story red brick buildings made me wish I was talking to Benjamin Franklin. So much fun. We walked around downtown a lot and just wandered, in the city, down the Common. I could see myself living in Boston after graduation, it’s the perfect city.
I had an amazing time. Now, we’re going to watch Friends with Benefits (to compare to the laughably bad No Strings Attached, I’m disappointed in dear Natalie) after I surprise Hannah’s two friends with some Mike’s!
